To open and scan with Windows Fax and Scan feature, follow the steps below depending on your Operating System. If you are unsure of your Operating system, click here to confirm it.

Windows 8 - Scan with Windows Fax and Scan

a. Move your mouse to the upper-right or lower-right corner of the screen to display the Charms bar.

b. Click Search.

c. Click

Apps.

d. Click

Windows Fax and Scan, listed under "Windows Accessories". The program will open.

If Windows Fax and Scan is not listed, you can type Scan in the search field for the App.

e. Click

New Scan.

f. If you have more than one scanner installed, choose your machine from the list or clickChange and choose your scanner. Click OK.

g. Choose your preferred scanner settings and then click

Scan.

Windows 8.1 - Scan with Windows Fax and Scan

a. Click the arrow near the lower-left corner of the Start screen.

b. Click Apps.

c. Click

Windows Fax and Scan, listed under "Windows Accessories". The program will open.

If Windows Fax and Scan is not listed, you can type Scan in the search field for the App.

d. Click

New Scan.

e. If you have more than one scanner installed, choose your machine from the list or click Change and choose your scanner. Click OK.

f. Choose your preferred scanner settings and then click

Scan.

Windows 10 - Scan with Windows Fax and Scan

a. Click → (All Apps) → Windows Accessories →Windows Fax and Scan.

b. Click New Scan.

c. If you have more than one scanner installed, choose your machine from the list or clickChange and choose your scanner. Click OK.

d. Choose your preferred scanner settings and then click

Scan.
