A new song from a classic rock band will feature the group’s original lead singer.

Foreigner will re-release the band’s 1981 breakthrough album “4″ next fall in honor of the group’s 50th anniversary.

The album will feature Dolby Atmos remixes of the multi-platinum release’s original tracks, including “Urgent,” “Waiting for a Girl Like You” and “Juke Box Hero.”

The reissue will also have 1982 live concert recording and a new song that Lou Gramm, Foreigner’s original lead singer, started writing during that era.

"We found an unfinished song in all the files. The song had one verse in it, and Lou had sung one verse and he sang the chorus. And it was great, but it was only one verse. He was mumbling the second verse," Foreigner bassist Jeff Pilson said in an interview with Chile’s Radio Futuro, which was transcribed by Blabbermouth.

“So we called Lou. We said, ‘What do you think about finishing and singing the song?’ So he said, ‘Absolutely,‘” Pilson continued. “He wrote and finished two verses and sang them. He added cowbell. And we have now a new, old Foreigner song that will be on the Foreigner ‘4′ release coming out in September. The song is called ‘Fool If You Love Him,’ and it came out great.”

The track will be Foreigner’s second new song with Gramm in a year, after unearthing a ‘90s track he and co-founding guitarist Mick Jones worked on together. “Turning Back the Time” was released in August as part of a greatest hits collection celebrating the band’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Gramm had previously said that he plans to be part of Foreigner’s activities in 2026, which will mark 50 years since Foreigner’s debut in 1976.

“I don’t think there’s any contrivance or people questioning the reason why I would be up there with that band,” Gramm said in an interview with Billboard.

Gramm left Foreigner in 1990 and again in 2002, but has periodically reunited with the band including at their . He also made a surprise appearance at a Foreigner concert in Florida in March.

Despite Gramm announcing his retirement from touring last year, the singer will fill in as a “guest” with Foreigner in Latin America this spring while current lead singer Kelly Hansen sits out.

“We’re very excited to have Lou with us,“ Pilson said. ”The fact that he’s decided to appear as a special guest with us is just an incredible thing. He’s been very, very supportive.”
